April's meeting was a forum for PISD candidates in the upcoming May 2017 election. The forum was moderated by Joe Cordina, former mayor of Parker

Keith Self County Judge, Collin County Commissioners Court spoke at the November meeting about the election results and Collin County priorities for the coming years.

In December 2015 State Representative Jeff Leach administered the oath of office to PRW Officers Elect for 2016

Ross Kecseg, Empower Texans, spoke at the October meeting about government fiscal responsibility.

Karl Voigtsberger reviewed the November 2016 voting results at the January 2017 meeting. Karl represents our district on the Texas Republican Executive Committee.

Karen Watson (left), creator of GOPbuzz and author of Being Black and Republican in the Age of Obama, was the guest speaker for PRW's September meeting.

PRW President Catherine Gibb (2nd from left) accepted the Diamond Award from NFRW along with other Collin County honorees at the September NFRW convention in Phoenix, Arizona.

Frank Aquila (left) joined us in September to discuss his book Sarah Palin: Out of Nowhere and to share his tips on grassroots organizing from the South San Joaquin California Republicans.

In June PRW joined four other conservative groups for a booth to Celebrate Freedom at Southfork. The event features lots of Christian bands, lots of booths and has been held annually for about 25 years. The booth advertised "vote your values" and registered voters.

Our May 2015 program featured Patriots Paws a non-profit organization based in Rockwall, Texas. We learned about the work they do to train and provide dogs (for free) for service to veterans and others with disabilities. ​Patriots Paws relies on donations and special events for funding. 

At the April 2015 general meeting Peggy Venable (left), Texas policy director & Senior States Policy Adviser for Americans for Prosperity, spoke about the current Texas legislative session and policy goals for AFP. 

An event organized by the Texas Federation of Republican Women (TFRW), Legislative Day 2015, brought PRW members to Austin for meetings, workshops, a luncheon, an evening gala and a tour of the newly restored Texas Govenor's Mansion.

PRW 2nd VP for Membership, Anne Logan (2nd from right), was honored at TFRW's Tribute to Women Luncheon held during the Texas GOP Convention.

In February 2016 PRW President Catherine Gibb (L) and 1st VP Programs Stephanie Casson attended TFRW Leadership Day in Houston, Texas.

September 2016 speaker was Neal J. Katz, Executive Director of the Collin County Republican Party. Neal spoke about current voter I.D. policies, ballot integrity and the concern of fraudulent votes.

Jim Skinner was the guest speaker at PRW's first meeting of 2016. Jim spoke about active shooter situations and how to defend yourself.

Dr. Yoram Solomon, Plano ISD Trustee, addressed PRW at the March 2016 meeting. 

Texas State Senator Van Taylor and Collin County Representatives to the Texas Legislature were guest speakers at PRW's October 2017 meeting.

State Representative Jeff Leach spoke at the November 2015 meeting. Also at this meeting - PRW's annual collection for Toys for Tots, PRW was presented with the TFRW John Tower Award and PRW presented Emily's Place with a basket of books as part of the NFRW literacy program.

Previous Meetings and Events

PRW members attended the NFRW convention in Philadelphia in September 2017 - the opening event was held at the National Constitution Center.
