Plano Christmas Cops

Caring for America

Patriot Paws

Christmas Cops is a program operated by Plano Police employees to assist Plano families in need during the Christmas Season and throughout the year.

Collection boxes are placed at numerous local businesses, fire stations, libraries, and city facilities to collect toys, food, new coats, and miscellaneous household items. Shortly before Christmas (or when a need arises), Plano Officers and Santa's Helpers make deliveries to these families.

To participate bring a new unwrapped toy - or toys - to the designated PRW meetings.

Caring for America

Operation Cards For Troops

The National Federation of Republican Women established the Caring for America program

based on the belief that problems can be solved most effectively through the generosity

and combined energies of individual citizens.

At PRW's December 2018 meeting, we collected Christmas Cards to send to troops serving in Sinai, Egypt.

Throughout the year, we will continue to collect cards to send to troops who are serving our country and are unable to celebrate at home with their loved ones.

Please bring greeting cards completed with a signature and a short inspirational message to the PRW meetings. These will be collected and sent to the troops.

At every PRW meeting donations are accepted for Patriot Paws.

The mission of Patriot Paws is to train and provide service dogs of the highest quality at no cost to disabled American veterans and others with mobile disabilities.

At PRW's December 2018 meeting Patriot Paws gave a demonstration of their training and discussed their program. For more information and to volunteer or to donate visit the Patriot Paws website.
